Brad K. Bearnson
Brad has a diverse background in the law. His particular emphasis is on assisting personal injury, products liability, and other injured victims in obtaining a fair recovery for their losses. Because of his prior extensive business background he also continues to assist clients in business related issues and commercial litigation. Brad is admitted to practice in Utah, Idaho, Arizona and Wyoming. He appears frequently in both state and federal court and is admitted in the Tenth Circuit Courts of Appeals. Brad also served as general counsel for Icon Health & Fitness, Inc. where handled a broad range of legal issues from mergers and acquisitions to product liability and employment matters. He has mediated over 400 cases.
Brad graduated from Utah State University, where he obtained a B.A. degree in accounting in 1979. He obtain his Certified Public Accountant designation in that same year. He pursued his legal education at the University of Utah, where he obtained a J.D. degree in 1982 and was admitted to the Utah State Bar.

Brad was recently named to Utah’s Best of the Best for litigators for 2011. He has been given an AV rating for legal ability and ethical standards – the highest possible from Martindale-Hubbell legal directory. Wayne K. Caldwell

Wayne provides a wide range of legal services, including in areas such as personal injury, criminal law, litigation, family law, wrongful death, landlord-tenant disputes, employment law, civil rights claims, and estate planning. He began practicing law in St. George, Utah as an Assistant Attorney General for the Utah Attorney General’s Office. In 2003, Wayne accepted a position with the Washington County Attorney’s Office where he prosecuted many high-profile, complex felony cases. In fact, Wayne was in the office when the rape charges were filed against Warren Jeffs. In 2006, Wayne left Washington County to accept an associate attorney position with Stirba & Associates in Salt Lake City, Utah. While in Salt Lake City, he practiced in the areas of civil rights litigation involving excessive force by police officers and in criminal defense. In 2007, Wayne left Salt Lake to return to Cache Valley and take a position with the former firm of Bearnson & Peck in Logan, Utah. Finally, in 2011, Wayne co-founded Bearnson & Caldwell, LLC and practices law there as a partner.
In the area of personal injury, Wayne has been involved in many injury cases where clients have collected monies owed to them by insurance companies in several different states. Wayne has also been involved in many high-profile criminal state and federal cases and has effectively represented many accused individuals in Utah, Idaho, and Arizona. Some of Wayne’s clients have seen serious felonies dismissed after he became involved in their cases, and many more have seen significant reductions in their charges. Finally, Wayne has represented several public employees that have been able to return to their jobs after they were wrongfully terminated.
Wayne obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from Utah State University, majoring in biology. He then earned his Juris Doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California. Wayne was admitted to the Utah State Bar in 2002, the Idaho State Bar in 2008, and the Arizona State Bar in 2009. He is also admitted to practice law in the United States District Court, District of Utah and the Tenth Circuit Courts of Appeals.

Wayne was born in San Jose, California and was raised in Snowflake, Arizona. Wayne is also a citizen of Canada in addition to being a citizen of the United States. Wayne lives in Millville, Utah with his wife, two boys, and one daughter. In his free time, Wayne enjoys hunting, camping, marathons, and golf.
Aaron K. Bergman

Tom joined Bearnson & Caldwell, LLC in October 2013 after moving to Logan from Northwest Indiana, where he worked in an insurance defense practice. He enjoys assisting clients with their personal injury, medical malpractice, products liability, wrongful death, commercial litigation, landlord-tenant, employment, civil rights, estate planning, and general litigation needs.
Thomas graduated cum laude from Wabash College in 2009, where he majored in history and minored in psychology. At Wabash, he was a member of Psi Chi and the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity and studied abroad for a semester in Perugia, Italy. In 2012, He attained his Juris Doctor and graduated cum laude from Valparaiso University School of Law. At Valpo, Thomas earned honors in Federal Estate and Gift Taxation and Estate Planning. He also worked as a summer research assistant and served as a pro bono extern for Magistrate Judge Calabrese of the Starke County Circuit Court.
Thomas was born in Shelbyville, Indiana, and is an avid Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Hoosiers fan. He lives in Logan with his wife, Michelle, and enjoys attending Utah State athletic events, traveling, and cooking.
Brenda E. Weinberg
Brenda's practice focuses on a variety of litigation issues, including criminal defense, personal injury, construction, employment, and family law. Before joining the firm, Brenda served as a judicial intern to the Utah Third District Court, handled landlord-tenant issues at Utah Legal Services, volunteered with Salt Lake Family Law Clinic, and managed construction projects in the telecommunications industry throughout the state of Utah. This breadth of experience allows her a better understanding of the unique needs of clients in a variety of industries.
Brenda attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, where she obtained a B.A. degree in European Studies in 2011. At Vanderbilt, she was a member of Sigma Alpha Iota, sat stroke seat with Vanderbilt Rowing, and studied in Vienna, Austria, where she learned to speak German. She pursued her legal education at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, where she obtained a J.D. degree in 2016 and was admitted to the Utah State Bar.
Brenda is a member of the Salt Lake County Bar, Central Utah Bar, and Park City Bar. She also sits on the board of the Community for Children’s Justice and plays clarinet with the Salt Lake Symphonic Winds.
Mary entered the legal field in 1984 by joining a local law firm where Brad Bearnson was an attorney. She has been his right-hand person ever since and when he joined ICON Health & Fitness, Inc. in 1995, as General Counsel, she assisted in opening ICON’s in-house legal department. In 2006 she joined Brad in relocating back into the private law sector and played an active role in the founding of Bearnson & Caldwell, LLC. She and her husband are the proud parents of 10 children, 15 grandchildren, a Yorkie and are looking forward to the arrival of 2 more grandchildren in 2017. She enjoys spending time with her family, cheering for the Utah State Aggies, scrapbooking, and eating chocolate.
